People assume that acne is teenage related problems because they facing hormonal changes. But the real truth is people have to tackle with this problem between age group of 20-30. Acne not only affects the skin but it also hinders the confidence of an individual. The main causes of acne are hormonal changes, stress, hectic schedule, dirt and pollution and most common is over active oil glands.
Acne is basically the result of the clogged pores. The reason of the acne is still not exactly recognized but there are several other factors that can contribute to acne and can be the main reason of acne prone skin. Acne is sometimes occurred due to the hereditary factors and generally, it is the cause of the hormonal imbalance.
Mild acne is normal. It occurs and then disappears after sometime. But when the problem persists, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist, who can treat the individual according to their problems. There are several treatments to serve acne problems but the best one are which tries to unclog pores. In case of mild acne the problems can be resolved through over the counter medications and products available in the market. Creams and gels with 5% to 10% benzoyl peroxide are very effective. It should be applied to the entire affected area instead of applying on just the pimples.
The few things should be kept in mind to take care of the acne prone skin. The acne prone skin is best when it is left oil-free, so always use gel- based face washes. The other way is to add a lot of Vitamin C related food to your diet. The other way takes time but it is useful in the long run. So, have lots of citrus fruits in your diet. Your diet should also include lots of broccoli, spinach, oatmeal, legumes, nuts, cantaloupe, flax, seed, salmon, turkey and other fruits and vegetables. Also, drink as much as 10 – 15 glasses of water every day.
Acne prone skin is a problem but can be tackled with some precautions and care.
